Which subsequent deep processing steps are suitable for the hot-rolled surface of stainless steel st

Stainless steel hot-rolled surface is not suitable for directly producing exposed finished products. Its advantages are thick thickness, low cost, and high substrate strength, making it suitable for working conditions that require subsequent cutting, forming, and precision machining.
Adaptation of subsequent deep processing procedures
1. Cold rolling and rolling processing
Hot rolled coil is a raw material billet used in cold rolling plants, which can be further rolled into various precision stainless steel strips such as 2B, BA, wire drawing, mirror finish, etc. It is the most mainstream application.
2. Sandblasting/shot blasting treatment
It can be directly sandblasted as a whole to obtain a uniform matte sand surface, which is used for equipment structural components and pressure vessel shells.
3. Grinding, drawing, polishing and finishing
Gradually remove the hot-rolled oxide scale patterns through rough grinding and fine grinding, and process them into brushed surfaces and mirror surfaces; The disadvantage is that the consumption of polishing consumables is higher, and the processing time is higher than that of 2B substrate.
4. Cutting, bending, and stamping forming (internal structural components)
Suitable for mechanical shells, brackets, chassis, and steel structure accessories that are not used as exterior surfaces; Attention: The surface is still rough after molding and requires additional surface treatment.
5. Welding processing
The hot-rolled pickling surface has no dense cold-rolled passivation bright layer, and the welding fusion is good. It is widely used in the welding and manufacturing of storage tanks, pipelines, and pressure vessels.
6. Spray painting, spray painting, spray coating, PTFE coating
The adhesion of rough surfaces is much better than that of bright 2B/BA surfaces, making it very suitable for various painting processes and less prone to paint peeling.
7. Hot forming, forging, and high-temperature processing
High temperature resistance, suitable for the production of parts that require further high-temperature heating, bending, and hot forging.
8. Etching (low-end structure etched parts)
Etchable, but with poor surface flatness; 2B surface is preferred for precision etching.
